Donald E. Clark, 81, Port Charlotte, Florida

Donald E. Clark, 81, of Port Charlotte passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was the son of Fred and Gertrude (Moore) Clark, born June 5, 1930 in Noblesville, IN. Don served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Charlotte County School Board. He was a member of First Christian Church of Port Charlotte. Don was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered as a good Christian who was an honest, sincere, and easy going man. Don will be greatly missed by his wife, Marty J.; sons, Roy Clark of Rotonda, FL and Mark Clark of Punta Gorda; daughters, Melynda (Joe) Read of Plant City, FL, Jennifer (Ken) Burch of Boca Grande, FL, Donette Todd of Gulf Cove, FL and Ruth Amen of Boca Grande, FL; brothers, Richard (Linda) Clark of Tampa, FL and John (Cynthia) Clark of Port Charlotte; sisters, Phyllis Daughtery of Ft Meade, FL and Esther Dolan of Port Charlotte; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be (pending) Memorial donations maybe made to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
