I had originally intended to follow up with the post I submitted a few months ago but for the life of me I can't remember my password so I was forced to make a new one instead. If you want to look at that post it was under the name capitals3344 but I'll provide??a short recap. I have had a recurring (every couple of months) ithcy slightly red area of skin on my groin skin just to the right of the base of my penis. I haven't had any obvious herpes symptoms but it really bothers me that I'll notice it recurring every couple of months. I had a herpeselect test performed at 14 weeks after my last sexual contact that came back negative for both types. However, just yesterday when taking a shower I felt that same area itch again and it was noticeably more sensitive to touch than the corresponding other side of my body. I know that I haven't had any of the traditional, sore, blister, etc symptoms and also that I had a blood test that came back negative but I'm still concerned about the recurring nature of this. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Is it likely/possible that I got or am one of the people that gets false negatives? Thank you.
